Red tea from Yunnan province.
Due to its distinctive appearance, this tea is sometimes called Dian Hong Song Zhen "Pine Needles". Fragrant, warming, and invigorating, it is perfect for simple brewing in a cup or for delicate extraction using a gaiwan or clay teapot.
Aroma: Bright, fragrant, with sweet honey notes.
Taste: Juicy and sweet, with hints of bread crust, dried fruits, pleasant berry astringency, and caramel-chocolate bitterness. The aftertaste is juicy, rich, and aromatic.
Effect: Refreshing and warming, it boosts energy and vitality.
Harvest: 2024.
Brewing Instructions: Use a porcelain gaiwan for maximum aroma extraction. Opt for an Yixing clay teapot for a more pronounced, rich flavor. Preheat the vessel well. Use boiling water. For infusion, take 5-6 grams per 100 ml of water. For steeping, use 4 grams of tea for 250 ml of water.

I bought Rou Gui Gao Shan at Tea Gallery, and it pleasantly surprised me with how it evolves over multiple infusions. By the third brew, the aroma becomes fuller and deeper, revealing a rich body with gentle sweetness, subtle berry notes, and light woody undertones. The classic Rou Gui profile—often associated with cinnamon-like spice, warm minerality, and a distinctive “rock” character (yan yun)—is present here as well, but in a smooth and well-balanced way. The aftertaste is long, with a refined balance between warmth and freshness. It’s the kind of tea that truly shines over extended sessions—perfect for long, relaxed evenings in good company.
This tea is honestly GOATed. We call it "endless / infinite tea", just because of HOW MUCH you can extract from it... With the right conditions and not too hot of a water, we've been genuinely drinking it for hours, and I feel like we never fully finished it... definitely worth it's money
