Gaba Oolong of strong fermentation, close to red tea, is also known as "Red Water."
In the late 1980s, Japanese producers developed a processing technique that minimizes oxygen exposure, resulting in tea with increased GABA content. Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) enhances concentration and productivity, slightly lowers blood pressure, relaxes, and alleviates tension.
Aroma: Fruity, bready, with a honeyed note.
Flavor: Soft yet rich and dense, with notes of fruit, chocolate, and baked goods. Noble and abundant, reminiscent of fine Taiwanese red teas.
Effects: Harmonious, relaxing, and meditative, while gently warming and concentrating.
Harvest: 2024.
GABA Content: Approximately 150 mg/100 g.
Brewing Instructions: You can brew it using infusion, steeping, or even cooking it according to Lu Yu’s method. Preheat your teaware. For infusion, use 5 grams of tea per 100 ml of water; for steeping or cooking, use 1 gram per 100 ml of water. Try different methods to discover your favorite!
