The bowl is made of clay and covered with a special glaze composed of a mixture of clay, wood ash, and other additives. This combination creates a unique pattern and metallic sheen with a "petrol" tint during firing. This technique is known as Jian Zhen and is referred to as Tian Mu in Taiwan.
High-temperature firing. The glaze's pattern and texture are unique to each bowl.
